Two Philadelphia brothers are accused of running a sophisticated retail theft ring that targeted hardware stores across the region, prosecutors say.
Cuong Nam Ly, 33, and Chung Nam Ly, 31, face hundreds of felony charges related to an alleged conspiracy that operated throughout Berks, Bucks, Delaware, Luzerne, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, said the Montco District Attorney's Office.
Investigators believe the Lys would buy products from Home Depot and Lowes, often online, before applying barcodes for more expensive items to the packaging.
