Adoptive parents of five children have both entered their pleas for abusing their children as of Wednesday afternoon. The infamous local mother who abused her adoptive children is facing new charges after police learned more about the abuse the children suffered while in her care. Shelley Noreika, 47, of Newville was arrested on Wednesday night. A Cumberland County woman is facing felony charges after lying about her adoptive daughter's health and fundraising to allegedly cover the cost of the medical bills, according to court documents. Twenty-three years after shaking her baby and crippling him for life, a Carlisle woman has completed her prison stay and will not serve further time for her crime. Teresa Gill, 43, served six years for aggravated assault. But in May 2018, she was charged with homicide after her son, Kurtis Reed-Miller, succumbed to his injuries from his mother's abuse, court documents say.
