Ten people were forced from their rooms at the Parkway Inn on Baltimore Pike in Springfield when the flames began in an unoccupied room in the rear of the building just after midnight Thursday, CBS reports.
Some rooms were completely off limits after being destroyed in the blaze.
No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
