A 20-year-old man who allegedly killed his mom while driving high on drugs, crashing on Route 322, has been charged, the Northern Lancaster Regional Police Department announced on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Gavin Meical Kline's mom, 41-year-old Bethany Welch of Palmyra was in the passenger seat of a 2016 Kia Optima when it was involved in the crash with a commercial van and a tractor-trailer, according to the Lancaster County Coroner's office. A 68-year-old Lebanon County man has been identified following a crash on Route 322 on Friday, Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber told Daily Voice. Michael Halupa of the 220 block of Black Oak Road died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash into a tree at the intersection of Route 322 and Pumping Station Road in Lititz, Elizabeth Township at 2:56 p.m. on Feb. 23, Chief Deputy Coroner Bieber detailed. Lulu Lemon Heist Leads To High-Speed Chase, Four Arrests In Delco: Police
One man and three women were arrested following a police chase down I-95 in Delaware County on Monday afternoon, Feb. 12, according to troopers. Police were called about a theft at the Concord Township Lulu Lemon around 1:45 p.m., authorities said in a release. The suspects had grabbed $5,000 in merchandise and absconded in a gray Subaru Legacy, state police said. After a brief search, authorities spotted the Subaru heading east on Route 322 toward I-95, troopers wrote. A firefighter was injured and Martin's Country Market has announced that it has closed "indefinitely" following a massive fire early on Thursday, Feb. 15. The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. at the popular market located at 1717 West Main Street in Ephrata Township, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The fire shuttered Route 322 in both directions between Wood Corner and Robert roads, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation explained. Lebanon County Man Dies Days After Being Hit Outside Harrisburg Walmart
A 39-year-old Palmyra man has died three days after he was struck by a car outside of a Walmart in Harrisburg, authorities say. Pritesh Patel died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident on Monday, Jan. 30, the Swatara police announced that afternoon. Patel was struck on Route 322 in the area of Mushroom Hill Road and was taken to a local hospital where he later died. SWAT Standoff Ends Peacefully In Honey Brook: Report
UPDATE: A SWAT standoff ended peacefully Thursday, April 28 in Honey Brook, Daily Local reports. PA State Police, local police, and the Chester County Emergency Response Team were dispatched, along with EMS, on a report of a barricaded person with a gun on Patton Drive in Lazy Acres mobile home around 9:15 a.m., the outlet says. Sealed Deal Ends Suit Over Suicide Of Accused Double Murderer In York County Prison
A lawsuit over an accused double murderer who hanged herself while imprisoned ended recently with a settlement. At the end of Feb. a deal between the York County Prison and the executor of the estate of Veronique Henry was settled and sealed by the order of U.S. Middle District Magistrate Judge Martin C. Carlson.
