Two People Found Dead Off Schuylkill County Highway: Troopers
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after two bodies were found in a wooded area in Schuylkill County Tuesday morning, Oct. 10. The pair was discovered around 3:30 a.m., according to a release. Troopers said both bodies were near Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia Borough, about a mile east of Route 209. The Schuylkill County Coroner's Office pronounced them dead by 6 a.m. Their identities were not reported. The case remains under investigation by PSP's Troop L.

Poconos Motorcyclist Killed In Labor Day Crash
A motorcyclist died after colliding with another vehicle in the Poconos on Labor Day, authorities said. Kayson Calim, 26, was traveling south on Route 209 near Wehr Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township around 6:30 p.m. when a car was turning left out of an Exxon gas station onto Route 209 north, according to PA State Police. Calim lost control of the motorcycle and struck the car, state police said. The Bushkill resident was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck head-on, authorities said. Penn State Student Killed In Dauphin County Crash
A Penn State student has died in an early morning crash, according to Pennsylvania State police. Jazmyn Hauck, 21, of New Ringgold, was driving her Jeep Grand Cherokee near Williamstown on Route 209 when she drove off the road and slammed into a utility pole on Tuesday between 1 and 1:45 a.m. Hauck was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dauphin County Coroner. Her community is rallying to support her family in this difficult time and honor her memory.
