Girl Killed, 4 Hospitalized In Christmas Eve Crash Near Lancaster/Chester County Line
An 11-year-old girl has died following a serious two-vehicle crash near the Lancaster and Chester counties line, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Christmas Eve. The crash happened in the 6150 block of Old Philadelphia Pike/West Kings Highway/Route 340 in Salisbury Township, at 8:50 a.m. on Dec. 24, according to the state police release. A 51-year-old Pennsylvania man was killed when he lost control of his SUV and rolled over multiple times on a Maryland roadway, state police announced. John Thomas Green III, 51, was driving his 2004 silver Toyota Highlander in Washington County at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2 in the area of Downsville Pike at Rench Road in Hagerstown when he unexpectedly crashed, authorities said. 6 Killed, 80 Vehicles Towed From I-81 Snow Squall Crash: PA State Police
The crash on Interstate 81 that was caused by a snow squall on Monday, is now know to have led to the deaths of 6 people and involved 80 vehicles, according to Pennsylvania state police Trooper Boehm. The vehicles included 39 commercial and 41 passenger vehicles on Mar. 28, Boehm says. The family of a 9-year-old Bergenfield boy who was killed when his bicycle collided with a commuter bus 2½ years ago has reportedly settled a negligence lawsuit for $1.6 million. A man who died while fleeing from police, at speeds greater than 100 mph, was wanted on multiple charges, Lower Paxton Township police say.
