A Monday morning crash involving a school bus left students needing EMS evaluations, according to a police release. The North Middleton Township police were called to the motor vehicle crash involving a school bus around 7:35 a.m. on Oct. 23, as detailed in a release by the department. The man who was shot dead by police on Wednesday has been identified as new details have been released from Pennsylvania state police regarding the incident. Roger Wayne Ellis, 54, of Carlisle, was shot by police serving a warrant for his arrest at 1 Brittney Drive around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, according to an updated release by police. Cat Resuscitated, Dog Killed In Central PA Apartment Fire, Authorities Say
An apartment fire left a family without a beloved dog on Wednesday morning, according to the Carlisle Fire Company. The fire started in the first block of North East Street in Carlisle on Wednesday around 7:15 a.m., authorities say. Crews were called to an apartment building fire with possible entrapment and fire showing from the building, according to emergency dispatch. Upon arrival fire crews found that all the occupants had evacuated the building.
