A 54-year-old motorcycle rider died at the scene of a crash on Friday, authorities say. Troy L. Kahler was found still wearing his helmet when authorities arrived to find his motorcycle crashed into a tree in the 1000 block of Roth’s Church Road at 2:02 p.m. in Jackson Township, according to a release by the coroner's office. A passenger was on the motorcycle at the time of the crash but no information was shared about their condition. One person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Bucks County, officials confirmed. The victim was walking on the railroad tracks near Edgely Avenue and Pitt Avenue in Bristol Township when they were struck around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, an Amtrak spokeswoman told Daily Voice. One person has died after they were hit by a train in central Pennsylvania, according to emergency dispatchers. Emergency crews were called to a crash involving an Amtrak main line train near Dillerville Road in Lancaster around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, a Lancaster County Wide Communications supervisor says.
