Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. Bel Air resident Dominic J. New Carrollton Man Found Shot To Death During Welfare Check At Maryland Parking Lot: Police Police in Prince George's County have identified the 38-year-old man who was found dead during a welfare check over the weekend. Officers were called at around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday night to a parking lot in the 7700 block of Finns Lane in Lanham to conduct the welfare check, where they found New Carrollton resident Kamil Ahmed suffering from traumatic injuries after being shot.
