Dump Truck Crashes Into Amish Family's Bird-In-Hand Home
An Amish family's home was struck by a dump truck on Thursday morning, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The truck's cab's front right tire appears to have blown out based on photos shared by Daniel Stoltzfus who also witnessed the crash. He wrote the following in part in a social media post: "I heard something and looked up. The truck went between the tree and the house." Man Dies 12 Days After Serious Central PA Crash, Police Say
A man has died in the hospital from injuries sustained in a serious car crash the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department announced on Monday, April 22. Malcolm Parker, 74 of Lancaster City, was taken to an area hospital follow a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and New Street in East Petersburg Borough, Stevens that happened around 3:53 p.m. on April 7, the department detailed in the release. Man's Suicide Attempt Closes Route 42 For Hours: State Police (

Police activity that closed Route 42 in Bellmawr for hours has come to an end. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. "We were able to get the individual some help," said New Jersey State Trooper, who declined to provide further details. Photos at the scene show tractor trailers lined up under the bridge and police speaking to the man, standing on a ledge of the overpass. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash On I-81 Clears: PennDOT
A tractor-trailer crash caused miles of delays on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice on Tuesday, April 2. The tractor-trailer rolled over after it crashed at mile marker 93.5 on I-81 northbound at 1 p.m. on April 2, PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler explained. Traffic was diverted starting at Exit 90: PA 72 - LEBANON and all lanes were closed through Exit 100: PA 443 - PINE GROVE. There is no word from the scene about any injuries, and it is unknown what was in the trailer. The roadway reopened at 5 p.m.

A trooper who crashed his patrol vehicle into a street sign will not be charged, according to a Pennsylvania State Police release on Thursday, March 7. Trooper Daniel C. A massive drag race in Pennsylvania ended with a State Police vehicle being struck and troopers getting medically evaluated, authorities announced on July 21, 2023. A tractor-trailer scrapped against the underpass of a railroad bridge— with a train on it— and ended up shearing off the roof of its trailer in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, August 31, authorities say. Emergency crews were called to the incident on Eckert Street in Pittsburgh's Woods Run neighborhood around 2 p.m., according to Allegheny County dispatchers.
