Train Strikes Tractor Trailer In Oxford, Police Say Authorities responded to a railroad crossing in Oxford Borough on Wednesday, April 17 after a train crashed into a tractor-trailer, police said.  Officials said it happened at the Mount Pleasant Road crossing around 3:30 p.m. The road was closed between South Third and Grant streets for several hours while crews cleared the scene.  Oxford Police Department No injuries were reported, police added.

Bystanders Disarm Would-Be Gunman In Chesco: Police A Chester County man who pulled a gun during an argument in Oxford Borough was disarmed by a crowd of heroic bystanders, according to authorities.  Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Lincoln Street just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 for a reported disturbance involving a firearm, the department said in a release.  There, witnesses told officers that 51-year-old Robert Fornwalt of Kirkwood took out a gun during an argument and pointed it at them.  Police said the group of witnesses were able to overpower and disarm Fornwalt, but that a physical fight ensued.
