Skydiver Rescue In Bucks County (Photos) Firefighters raised a ladder into a forest canopy Thursday evening to rescue a skydiver who had become tangled in their parachute, according to authorities.  It happened near the Pennridge Airport in Perkasie just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, the Sellersville Volunteer Fire Department said in a release.  Joined by Perkasie Fire Company, Sellersville first responders arrived at the scene to find the skydiver "entangled in the parachute and the tree limbs" some 35 feet above the forest floor, they said.  Scene from the skydiver rescue in Perkasie on July 20.Sellersvillefd.com/Sell…

Pennridge Regional police officers tried to stop a black Nissan Sentra with a stolen license plate on Wednesday, March 2, but were unable to reach the car, they said. It was discovered 12 minutes later, around 4 a.m., by Richland Township police officers. Man Shot At Home In Perkasie A man was injured in a shooting at a home in Perkasie over the weekend, authorities said. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg at a home in the 200 Block of Marshall Street around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Perkasie Borough Police Department. The victim told officers he was shot by a man who remained at the scene when police arrived. The gunshot victim was taken to Grandview Hospital where he was treated and released, police said.
