'Nauseated, Vomiting:' 54 Workers Taken To Hospital In Upper Macungie HazMat Incident, Cops Say Dozens of employees were taken to area hospitals after authorities responded to a hazmat situation in Upper Macungie on Friday, Feb. 23. First responders were called to Sharp Packaging Solutions on Keebler Way, for reports of a "chemical odor" and employees feeling ill, township police said.  They arrived to find multiple workers nauseated, vomiting, and experiencing headaches, according to officials. Fifty-four of the 154 employees were taken to hospitals for evaluation, police said.  An update on their conditions Friday evening was not released. 1 Dead, 1 Critical When Car Slams Concrete Barrier In Philadelphia One person died and another was critically injured in a Philadelphia crash Thursday, Sept. 7, police said. It happened at 600 N. Delaware Avenue around 6:15 p.m., police said. A 58-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 7:05 p.m. One of two passengers was placed in critical condition, while an update on the third victim wasn't immediately available. Footage from the scene posted to Citizen shows first responders extricating the victims from an older Honda sedan that struck the concrete barrier.

PA Homeowner Crushed By 4,000-Pound Excavator In Front Yard: Dispatch A homeowner in Chester County was hospitalized after his leg was pinned under a 4,000-pound construction vehicle, authorities say.  Emergency dispatchers confirmed to Daily Voice that first responders were called to a home on Concord Avenue in Exton on the morning of Friday, Dec. 2. The man was found in the front yard partially trapped beneath an excavator, they said.  By afternoon, the man had already been taken to a nearby hospital, dispatchers added. His condition was not immediately clear.
