Montco Firefighters Rescue Trapped Deer From Schuylkill Canal A good samaritan and quick-thinking first responders teamed up to rescue a deer who had fallen into the Schuylkill Canal in Montgomery County on Sunday, April 30.  Area resident Timothy Saja reported the trapped doe near lock 60 in Upper Providence sometime before 3 p.m., officials wrote on Facebook. Township police and a county Park Ranger joined firefighters from engine 68 at the scene.  Two workers suited up in their water rescue gear and caught the deer before gently hoisting her out of the canal, shown in photos from the scene taken by Saja.  Engine 68 (C Platoon) was dispatched …

Pregnant Wife Of PA Firefighter Dies In Crash The pregnant wife of a Pennsylvania firefighter died in a car crash last week, authorities said. Kellie Adams, of Lansdale, and the baby girl she was expecting with husband Jason died in a crash on Thursday, Aug. 25, according to her obituary. Kellie and Jason, married for eight years, also shared two boys together. Jason is a firefighter in Upper Providence Township. Collegeville Packing Supply Worker Airlifted After Hand Gets Stuck In Machine A man was airlifted from a packing supply factory after fire crews freed him when his hand became stuck under a roller in a machine Thursday in Collegeville. Firefighters responded to Packaging Corporation Of America on 5 Iron Bridge Drive in Collegeville around 9:40 a.m., where they remained for nearly two hours freeing the man safely, Perkiomen Fire spokesman Ted Hodgins said.
