Southwest Philly Gunpoint Carjacking Suspect Wanted By Police (Updated) Investigators are searching for the gunman who stole a vehicle in Southwest Philadelphia early Monday, April 8, city police say.  The suspect had a black handgun when he carjacked a victim on the 7200 block of Woodland Avenue around 2:25 a.m., authorities said in a release.  The car is a gray 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Pennsylvania tag number MKZ-7506, police said.  The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black man in his early 20s, nicknamed "Skinny," according to detectives. No Arrests Made In Deadly Philadelphia Shooting, Police Say A 31-year-old man is dead after gunshots rang out on a Southwest Philadelphia street Tuesday night, Oct. 17, officials say.  It happened on the 5400 block of Chester Avenue in Kingsessing just after 6:45 p.m., city police told Daily Voice. The unnamed victim was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at Presbyterian Hospital by 7 p.m. No arrests were made and no weapons had been recovered from the scene by Wednesday, Oct. 18, PPD said.
