Firefighters in West Whiteland responded to Route 100 Thursday morning, Nov. 2 after a car caught fire on the highway, officials said. It happened just north of the Exton Bypass near the intersection with Bartlett Avenue around 9:30 a.m., according to the Fire Company. Shirtless Danelo Cavalcante Last Spotted Carrying .22 Rifle, Flashlight
The reward in the search for Danelo Cavalcante has been increased to $25,000. The 34-year-old escaped killer, who is also wanted for murder in Brazil, is armed after stealing a pistol from a Chester County home Monday, Sept. 11, authorities said. Police say he was last spotted in South Coventry Township, without a shirt, carrying a stolen .22 rifle and flashlight. Residents should call 911 immediately if he is spotted. What began in a Macungie Turkey Hill ended with a struggle in the street on Thursday, after police say a man assaulted gas station customers and then led officers on a brief chase. Ryan J. Jacobs, 44, of Temple, is charged with fleeing law enforcement, resisting arrest, simple assault, and related counts, Macungie police wrote in a release. Fatal Crash Closes I-78 In Berks, Lehigh Counties: Report
A deadly accident on I-78 closed down stretches of the highway in Berks and Lehigh counties on Monday, Nov. 7, state police announced. A dump truck towing a skid steer was traveling eastbound on I-78 in Upper Macungie Township near Route 100 just before 10 a.m. when the cargo struck an overpass, splitting the cab from the truck bed, state police said. One Dead, One Hurt In Berks County Motorcycle Crash
One person died and another was injured in a motorcycle crash in Berks County over the weekend, authorities said. A car was turning left from Fourth Street onto Route 100 in Bally when the motorcycle, going south on Route 100, struck the car around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, WFMZ reports citing state police. The motorcyclist, Robert Snyder, 32, of Pottstown, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said. Tractor Trailer Driver Killed In Upper Uwchlan Crash
Two people were injured and one dead in a three-vehicle crash in Uwchlan Township Friday evening, authorities said. Police responded to the intersection of Route 100 and Pennsylvania Boulevard and found a sedan, a pick up truck and a tractor trailer involved in a crash around 6 p.m., local police said. Authorities ID Gunman, Victim Both Dead In Lehigh Valley Shooting Spree
Authorities have identified two people killed in a Lehigh Valley shooting spree Wednesday morning, one of them being the gunman himself. Za Uk Lian, of South Whitehall Township, shot a vehicle on Route 22, a Jeep driver behind an Upper Macungie Wawa and then a 31-year-old tractor trailer driver before turning the gun on himself, according to Lehigh County officials. A 51-year old Bethlehem driver died after he lost control of his car and hit a guardrail, which made the sedan flip continuously into trees on Route 100 in Lehigh County, authorities said. Brian Baumbach was traveling northbound on Route 100, just North of Bittners Corner Road in Lowhill Township when he lost control of his car and hit the guardrail on the right side of the roadway around 3:30 a.m., on April 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky.
