A New Jersey man is guilty of touching a sleeping Pennsylvania college student in 2021, prosecutors say. Eric Jones, 24, of Newark, was convicted of indecent assault in a Chester County court, said the District Attorney's Office. Investigators said Jones was the boyfriend of one of the victim's roommates at the Lincoln House, a residential building at Lincoln University in Lower Oxford Township. A Pennsylvania State Police trooper has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of an animal cruelty investigation, authorites said. Corporal Michael Perillo repeatedly struck an already-injured horse with his police cruiser while responding to a call on Route 1 in Lower Oxford Township on Dec. 28, 2021, state police said in a Friday, July 22 news release. UPDATE: Authorities have released new information about a harrowing double murder-suicide that occurred this week in Chester County. Kimberly Harris, 53, and her son, Jordan Foster, 22, were identified as the two victims who were found fatally shot at a home in the 300 block of Ashmun Avenue in Lower Oxford Township on Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Kevin Kochka. A veteran Pennsylvania State Police corporal was arrested on accusations she tried to cover up a DUI arrest involving the father of another trooper, authorities said Friday.
