Bethlehem Man ID'd As Victim In Deadly Lower Nazareth Crash
The Northampton County Coroner's Office has named the driver in a deadly crash in Lower Nazareth on Tuesday evening, Jan. 30. Andrew D. Mitchell, 31, of Bethlehem, died from blunt force injuries to the torso at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus, officials said. His manner of death was ruled accidental. The crash happened near Newburg Road and West Mayfield Circle, according to the Coroner's Office. WFMZ reported that a woman and child in a different car suffered minor injuries.

Decades after she was found dead in a Lehigh Valley cornfield, state troopers continue their search for Caralee LaLaine Pensyl's killer. The 20-year-old's remains were discovered unclothed and decomposed about a quarter-mile south of Hecktown Road in Lower Nazareth on Dec. 12, 1987, according to state police. Authorities say that she was murdered, but no official cause of death seems to appear in the public record. 3-Alarm Fire Rips Through Lehigh Valley Apartments Under Construction (

A third-alarm fire ravaged a Lehigh Valley apartment building that was under construction, authorities said. The fire broke out at a three-story building on the 3100 block of Charlotte Avenue in Palmer Township on Monday afternoon. The Palmer Municipal Fire Department worked with several local crews to locate and douse the blaze, which was upgraded to a third alarm from a first alarm, authorities said.
