Driver Nearly Crashed Into Police Car Before Montco Pursuit: Authorities
A car chase in Lower Moreland ended in one man's arrest, according to township police.
Officers were traveling on Philmont Avenue early on June 10 when they spotted an oncoming driver pass a car on its left side, veering into the center median and opposite lane, police said.
The officers had to swerve to the curb to avoid colliding with the driver, authorities said.

Former Employee Burnt Down Mechanic's Shop In Montco, DA Claims
A Lebanon man is accused of setting fire to a mechanic's shop where he used to work in Willow Grove, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Sean Gahagan, 56, is charged with arson, risking catastrophe, burglary, and related counts, prosecutors said in a release.
Investigators said Gahagan stopped by his former employer, JG Transmissions at 616 Davisville Road, on the morning of Dec. 29 looking for work. He was turned away and left the shop, authorities said.

TD Bank Manager Charged In Philly Area Fraud That Scammed Victim Of Over $15,000
A TD Bank manager and one of her co-conspirators were arrested for their involvement in a Philadelphia area conspiracy that scammed a victim of over $15,000, authorities said.
Patrice Singh, 26, provided the victim's bank account information to two men, who then made $17,125 in unauthorized withdrawals from the victim's account, Lower Moreland Township police said.
The frauds happened on July 31, 2021, and Aug. 1, 2021, in Philadelphia and Lower Moreland, according to police.

Men Busted With 15 Bundles Of Heroin, Catalytic Converter In MontCo: Police
Two men were arrested after police discovered drugs and a catalytic converter in their car, authorities said.
Officers were patrolling at the Wawa at 2500 Philmont Avenue on Nov. 6 when they noticed a vehicle with no registration in the parking lot, Lower Moreland police said.
Aramis Matos, 25, and Carlos Ruiz, 34, were found in the car with power tools, 15 bundles of heroin packets, and a catalytic converter, according to police.
The men were hit with a slew of charges including, possession of drugs, receiving stolen property, and more.
