Lower Merion Teacher Killed In Crash Was 'Amazing Husband, Father, And Friend': Fundraiser Friends and community members are collecting donations for the family of the Lower Merion teacher who died in a car accident last Tuesday, April 2.  Tim Mohan, 53, was a social studies teacher at Bala Cynwyd Middle School for 30 years and also served as the school's Athletics and Activities Director, school district officials have said. SUV Driver Shot In Lower Merion Crash Critical An SUV driver was in critical condition after being shot a Lower Merion crash, 6abc News reports. The 29-year-old driver had just collided with another vehicle at City Avenue and Monument Road around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, according to the outlet and initial police reports.
