16-Year-Old Teen Killed In Lehigh County Crash ID'd: Coroner Officials have identified the 16-year-old student killed in a car crash near Emmaus High School on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 31.  (Note: This story has been updated to include information from Emmaus police.) Edwin Cortes, of Allentown, died of blunt force injuries to the torso due to a motor vehicle collision, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. His manner of death was ruled accidental.  Cortes was a back-seat passenger in a two-car crash near North Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard around 3 p.m., authorities said previously. Teen Girl Charged With Making Threats Against Emmaus High School A teenage girl was charged for making threats against a high school in the Lehigh Valley, LehighValleyLive reports. Police launched an investigation after the East Penn School District dismissed Emmaus High School students early on Friday, the outlet says. According to school officials, credible threat messages had been circulating on social media.
