Driver Arrested In Hit-Run Crash Near Near White House That Killed Philadelphia Man Police have tracked down a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian in a crosswalk in the heart of Washington, DC earlier this month, authorities announced. Benjamin Robertson, 33, of DC, was arrested and charged Thursday with murder for a fatal crash on Wednesday, July 12 just blocks from the White House that took the life of Philadelphia native Bing Wong. The crash happened as Robertson was attempting to evade US Secret Service officers who sought to pull him over for an expired registration near the Washington Memorial at the intersection of 17th Street NW and Constitution Avenue NW. …
