Carbon County Resident Threatened To Shoot Borough Employees: Police A Nesquehoning man was arrested after allegedly threatening to bring a gun to the borough offices on Wednesday, June 26, authorities say.  Steven Figueroa, 29, is charged with terroristic threats, according to Nesquehoning police.  Officials said Figueroa called borough employees around 10:30 a.m. to complain about municipal water and sewer services. Workers told police he was "agitated, argumentative" and profane during the call. Ohio 'Swatter' Caught In Pennsylvania, Police Say A Parkesburg man is charged with felony "swatting" in Ohio, according to borough police.  Michael Eugene Carpenter was arrested on an Ohio warrant on Tuesday, Jan. 9, authorities said in a release.  "Swatting" involves reporting a false crime to authorities — often a bomb threat or hostage situation — to provoke a police response, officials said.  Carpenter was released after posting a $10,000 bond on Wednesday, Jan. 10, court records show. Details of his pending extradition to Ohio were not immediately available.
