Nathan Leamer, 35, of Alexandria, Virginia was visiting his parents for the Easter holiday when a neighbor -- identified as Charles Cuesta --pointed a rifle at him while he was with his two young daughters, aged 3 and 8, around 9:30 a.m. Monday at his parents' Hopewell Road home, according to the Robeson Township Police Department.

Leamer's parents were having landscaping done to their home and while the work was being done, his 8-year-old daughter was playing along the treeline of the property, according to a police statement provided to Daily Voice.

When Leamer attempted to join her with his 3-year-old daughter, he noticed Cuesta standing approximately 50 yards away from his 8-year-old daughter with what looked like a hunting rifle slung over his shoulder, he said.

When Leamer made eye contact with Cuesta and waved, he removed his gun from his shoulder and pointed the rifle at him and his daughters, Leamer said.

Leamer yelled, "what are you doing? I have kids here!!!"

To which Cuesta responded, "I'm not aiming it at them, I'm aiming it at you."

At that point, Leamer said he had already gathered his daughters close to his side while attempting to determine which of the three he was aiming at.

Leamer told him he was going to call the police and proceeded to dial 9-1-1 and rushed his children toward the guest house barn.

Leamer said Cuesta continued to intimidate them and yell but he couldn't discern what he was saying.

"He has over the years brandished his weapon at neighbors and conducted various efforts to intimidate my parents and others. But until Monday he had never (to my knowledge) targeted children," Leamer told Daily Voice.

Leamer told Daily Voice that he's surprised that criminal charges didn't stop Cuesta from bothering his parents after apparently 30 years of harassment.

"At one point he even said antisemitic slurs at my father."

Cuesta turned himself in at the office of District Judge Glass Wednesday night, authorities said. He was subsequently released.

"Upon being released, Charles has returned to conducting various belligerent behavior to annoy and harass my parents," Leamer told Daily Voice.

"His behaviors include driving up and down the block, repeatedly honking his horn for no reason, stalking the property, and other activities."

He is facing charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment.
