Arsonist 'Threatened To Kill Several People With A Knife,' Lancaster County, Police Say A 44-year-old man with seven separate convictions over 25 years— including arson for setting the apartment he shared with his girlfriend and children on fire— pulled out a knife and threatened to kill people in Columbia, Pennsylvania, according to area police.  Charles Edward Swanigan, Jr. was arrested after witnesses told the police that he "threatened to kill several people with a knife," in the 600 block of Fairview Avenue, Columbia at approximately 10:56 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, area police say.  He was charged with two counts of terroristic threats and was held in the…

Central PA Man ID'd, Dad Hospitalized Following Deadly Crash: Coroner A central Pennsylvania man has been identified following a deadly crash in central Pennsylvania on Saturday, Dec. 3, authorities say.  The Lancaster County coroner's office was called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Prospect Road, in West Hempfield Township at 2:15 a.m. A deputy coroner responded to the scene and pronounced 41-year-old Chad Rapp of Columbia dead at the scene.  Rapp was the passenger inside a Ford SUV that struck a tree around 1 .am., according to area police.  His father was driving and remains in the hospital according to his family.  I'm just going to sa…
