An Amish-owned cheese factory in Lancaster County caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 13, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. Emergency crews were called to the scene at Oak Shade Cheese factory in Kirkwood, Little Britain Township around 3 p.m., dispatchers at LCWC detailed. A 21-year-old man accidentally shot himself with a handgun while inside an Allentown AutoZone store, according to police. A major gas leak prompted evacuations in Palmer Township, authorities said. The incident occurred shortly before noon on Thursday, Aug. 8. Both lanes of travel on William Penn Highway were closed as a result of the leak between Stones Crossing Road and Sheridan Drive, police said. The victim was shot in the left side of the head in a third-floor recording studio, according to authorities. An officer "operating a marked patrol vehicle was involved with a private vehicle", sending one person to the hospital on Monday morning, July 22, Philadelphia Police announced. A PSP vehicle caught fire on a Luzerne County highway late Monday, July 15, according to officials. The blaze happened on Route 80 near mile marker 272.1, said White Haven Fire Company. Troopers brought the flames under control by the time firefighters arrived, and a hose was used to soak down the engine compartment, authorities said. No one was injured, the fire company added.
