A security guard fatally shot a knife-wielding man in what police are calling an act of self-defense at Treasures Banquet Hall on New Year’s Eve, Philadelphia police said. Officers from the 14th District were called to the 5500 block of Germantown Avenue for a report of a “Person with a Gun” on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., authorities said. A 37-year-old man was fatally shot inside a home on the 3900 block of North Darien Street in Philadelphia's 25th District, police announced. Body: The victim was shot once in the neck and once in the abdomen while in the living room at approximately 6:09 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, according to Officer Tanya Little of the Philadelphia Police Department. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead at 6:23 p.m., authorities said. A man barricaded in a basement with a hatchet and a machete following a fight with a teenager has been shot dead, the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced on Sunday, Sept. 15. Pair Arrested In Fatal Shooting Near Northumberland County Courthouse, One Remains At Large
Two men are in custody and a third suspect is at large in a fatal shooting outside the Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, authorities said on Friday, Aug. 16. The Montour County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Dayveon R. Creel of Sunbury. He was shot at about noon on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 147 Market Street, Sunbury Police Chief Travis Bremigen said. The chief confirmed the two arrests with Daily Voice. A convicted felon has died following an officer-involved shooting in Lewistown, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Ridge Ryen Rhodes, 29 of Lewistown, is accused of firing "several shots" when local police responded to the area of the 100 block of West Fourth Street and fired back around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the PSP Troop G release.
