Tractor-Trailer Fire Shutters Part Of PA Turnpike: PennDOT A tractor-trailer caught on fire along the Pennsylvania Turnpike prompting a detour to be put in place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The fire broke out in Upper Allen Township near mile marker 234.7 around 2:09 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA.  The turnpike is closed at the Gettysburg interchange. Engaged Couple Dead In Murder-Suicide, Cumberland Co. Coroner Says The murder-suicide victims found in a Central Pennsylvania home over the weekend have been identified as a recently engaged couple.  Timothy Hanford, 49, is believed to have fatally shot his fiance, Carolyn (Hand) Eash, 57, in a home on the 800 block of Grantham Road in Upper Allen Township, Mechanicsburg, before turning the gun on himself, local officials said. Their bodies were found by police performing a welfare check around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, Upper Allen police said. Autopsies confirmed that both individuals died of gunshot wounds. Geoffrey Gallo, 65, of Nevada, was driving too fast while heading east on Interstate 76 by the Gettysburg Interchange ramp in Upper Allen Township when lost control around 4:09 p.m. on Friday, August 19, according to Pennsylvania state police.  The truck overturned and Gallo — who was not wearing a seat belt — was partially ejected, according to state police. FBI Called To PA Apartment After DIY Fireworks Go Wrong A Mechanicsburg man is facing a weapons of mass destruction charge after a failed attempt to make fireworks, say police. Johnathan Park, 33, was arrested after he attempted to make fireworks on his bed in his apartment in 500 block of Geneva Drive, according to police. Upper Allen Township police and fire were called to the apartment complex for reports of a burn victim around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
