A white Lincoln plowed onto a crosswalk island, striking two men waiting to cross the street in Philadelphia, police said. The driver, 63, fled but was caught blocks away on Broad Street on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at 8:45 p.m. The crash happened at Broad and Juniper streets in the 9th District, where the Lincoln bypassed traffic stopped at a red light, jumped the island, and hit the pedestrians, investigators said. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Cause Closure At PA Turnpike Ramp In Lancaster
A tractor-trailer rollover crash has caused a closure at the on-ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 76, officials said. The tractor-trailer flipped at Colonel Howard Boulevard in the eastbound lanes leading to the PA Turnpike/I-76 entrance from Route 222 around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, according to East Cocalico Township police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The passenger for a vehicle involved in a crash died in the hospital, the Bethlehem Police Department announced on Monday, Oct. 14. A pedestrian was struck dead in Warminster on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, area police announced. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. A tractor-trailer crash caused miles of delays on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice on Tuesday, April 2. The tractor-trailer rolled over after it crashed at mile marker 93.5 on I-81 northbound at 1 p.m. on April 2, PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler explained.
