Sexual Servitude: Pennsylvania Officers Raped, Assaulted Same Victim For Years, DA Says
An Allentown police officer and a former vice officer have been charged with rape and related offenses spanning several years, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan announced on Friday, Jan. 10.
Evan Weaver, 45, of Weisenberg, and Jason Michael Krasley, 47, of Upper Milford Township, are accused of sexually assaulting the same victim between 2011 and 2015, authorities said. The pair face felony charges of Rape and Involuntary Sexual Servitude, as well as Misdemeanor Indecent Assault, Official Oppression, Prostitution, and Related Offenses, according to the DA.

Estate Executor Steals $27K+ From Elder, Ephrata Police Say
An estate executor has been charged with multiple felonies in connection with a nearly $28,000 theft, the Ephrata Police Department announced on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Dervin L. Bender, 58, of Ephrata, is accused of stealing $27,760 from an estate for which he was an executor over two years, the police alleged.
He has been charged with felonies for Theft by Unlawful Taking and Financial Exploitation of an Adult or Care-Dependent Person, according to the police.
Bender's preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Landis on Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to the police. …
PA Contractor Ripped Off $86K From Clients, AG Says
A contractor in Pennsylvania has been charged after he accepted deposits to build elevators in six residents' homes but never did any of the work, authorities said.
Michael Bloom, of Williamsport, agreed to the projects, which totaled $86,110, AG Josh Shapiro said. He provided little or no services in return and refused to give his customers refunds.
Five of the homeowners left in the lurch by Bloom were over 60 years old, the AG said.

Police believe they have cracked the mysterious case of a missing Pennsylvania taxi driver, as his remains were found this week.
Darlyn De La Rosa-Abreu disappeared on Aug. 8 2021, just after picking up a passenger, Johnny Palaguachi, in his 2015 Toyota Corolla, Reading Police Chief Richard Tornielli said.
Human remains found near Old Church Road in North Heidelberg Township on May 20 were confirmed to be those of De La Rosa-Abreu, Tornielli said.

Butt Naked Burglar Surrenders After 2-Hour SWAT Standoff, Police In Chester County Say
A two-hour standoff ended with a home intruder in custody -- completely naked, authorities in West Whiteland Township said.
Officers responding to a house for an alarm activation around 4:30 a.m. Monday found a broken window and heard someone upstairs, Det. Scot Pezick said.
The officers left the house and established a perimeter, bringing the county SWAT team to the scene.
Around 6:15 a.m., 36-year-old Bryan R. Smith, of Exton, walked out of the house stark naked, authorities said.
Smith was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking.
