Freezing Rain To Glaze Roadways With Ice: Winter Weather Advisories Issued Across NJ, PA
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania as freezing rain is expected to create icy road conditions Friday night, Dec. 27 into Saturday morning, Dec. 28, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to Saturday. Ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are anticipated in Sussex, Warren, and Morris counties, in NJ, and Lehigh and Northampton counties, in PA.

Forecasters Were Way Off: 13 Inches Of Snow Fell Unexpectedly In NJ, PA Towns
Four inches of snow at most was expected in the second snow storm of the week in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
But much more fell.
In the Friday, Feb. 16 and Saturday, Feb. 17 storm, up to 13 inches of snow fell in some towns across the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Cyber-Footsie Scammers From NJ, MD, VA Swindle $7 Million From Mostly Elderly Victims, Feds Say
Mostly elderly victims across the United States were conned out of a whopping $7 million by a quartet of romance scammers from New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia – all of whom were arrested by the FBI, authorities said.
The victims sent the money to the imposters thinking that they were helping out love interests, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
They lost a lot.
Arrested this past week, Sellinger said, were:
Nana Yaw Marfo, 37, of Virginia, who was accused of receiving at least $4.7 million;

DA: New Jersey Brothers Charged With Killing Man Found Dead In Pennsylvania Woods
Two teen brothers from New Jersey were arrested on accusations they killed a man found in a wooded area in Quakertown (Bucks County), Pennsylvania, authorities announced.
Anthony Gamble, 19, and Joshua Gamble, 17, both of Somerset, NJ, will be charged with criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, and tampering with evidence, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
The younger Gamble is being charged as an adult.

Ice Now, Snow Later: Region Bracing For Back-To-Back Winter Storms
While a mix of ice, snow and freezing rain is expected to coat the region Monday evening, another storm comprised of mainly snow could be just days away, meteorologists say.
Freezing rain was likely to start falling around 6 p.m., with northwestern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania expected to get the most ice accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.
