A city police officer fired their service weapon at a suspect in North Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, according to Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore. Officers were called to the 1000 block of West Dakota Street around 2:45 p.m. after a stolen car was spotted parked on the street, Vanore told reporters Monday evening. The vehicle, a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, was reportedly stolen earlier Monday. 1-Year-Old Boy Stabbed Outside Philadelphia Synagogue: What We Know
A 1-year-old baby was stabbed outside of a synagogue in Philadelphia Saturday, April 13, police said. According to Philadelphia police, the boy was stabbed in the left forearm outside of 300 South 18th Street just after 12 p.m. In a statement to 6abc, Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel (BZBI) synagogue said the incident was not an anti-Semitic attack. The baby was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia by PFD-Medic Unit and is in stable condition. No weapon was found, no arrests were made, and there was no scene.

Coyotes Spotted In Delaware County
Police have reported multiple confirmed coyote sightings in and around Broomall. Authorities say the animals are more active in the spring when they are caring for their young and searching for food and water. They are most often found in heavily forested areas, but sightings in adjacent residential areas are becoming more common, according to officials. Authorities in Marple Township arrested an armed man at the 400 S. State Road Walmart this week, police said in a release. Officers were called about a person with a gun around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, police said. They arrived and made contact with "multiple individuals," including 22-year-old Michai Adams, according to the release. Police in Marple Township said they took an armed suspect into custody on Monday afternoon, April 1. Officers were called to the 400 block of Yale Avenue around 2:20 p.m. for "a domestic dispute involving a male armed with a rifle," Marple police said in a release. 4-Year-Old Girl Shot In Philadelphia: Police
A 4-year-old girl was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in Philadelphia on Thursday evening, March 28, city police say. Authorities said it happened just after 7 p.m. on the 2400 block of 79th Avenue. The victim was struck once in the abdomen in a bathroom at a residence, police said. She was taken to Einstein Hospital where her condition is said to be stable. Police said the weapon had not been recovered and no arrests had been made as of Thursday night. A 49-year-old woman who was found dead in Harrisburg Wednesday morning has been identified by the Dauphin County Coroner's Office. Chandra Burns, originally of Philadelphia (according to her social media) and most recently of Harrisburg City, was found unconscious near the bus stops at Second and Market streets around 7:30 a.m. on March 27, the police detailed. 59-Year-Old Killed In Carbon County, Suspect In Custody: State Police
One person is in police custody after a 59-year-old man was killed with a "piercing object" in Lehighton Borough, troopers said in a release. The victim was found with "life-threatening injuries from being struck with a piercing object" at an address on Carbon Street, according to state police. He was taken to St. Luke's, Carbon Campus and pronounced dead, authorities said. A suspect is in custody and there is "no threat to the surrounding public/community members," police said.
