A husband and wife team of Pennsylvania doctors have been sentenced for a urine drug test fraud, the US Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
Physician with specialized training in anesthesiology, John H. Johnson and his physician wife, Paula Z. Johnson, both age 62, of Hollidaysburg, were sentenced for committing fraud by U.S. District Court Judge Christopher C. Conner on Tuesday, Sept. 17, as detailed in the USDOJ release.

Five additional members of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pennsylvania are now facing multiple charges after allegedly sexually abusing children, Pennsylvania’s Acting Attorney General Michelle Henry announced at a press conference on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
All of the men, between the ages of 42-74, abused family members between the ages of 5 and 15, the AG says.

2 Men Arrested After Raid Of Allentown Home Finds Fentanyl, Cocaine, Guns, Police Say
Two men were arrested after a raid on an Allentown home turned up drugs, loaded guns, and a large sum of cash, authorities said.
As part of an ongoing drug investigation by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the Bethlehem Police Department, and the Allentown Police Department, a search warrant was served at a home on Greenleaf Street, local police said.
The warrant seized $11, 937 in cash, 508 grams of fentanyl, 12 grams brown tar heroin, 34 grams cocaine, 4.1 grams marijuana, and three loaded handguns, including one "ghost gun," Bethlehem police said.

Agents with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General have arrested five people and shut down a methamphetamine trafficking organization operating in Berks, Chester, and Montgomery counties, authorities on Tuesday announced.
Randy Cronrath, Clayton Hoppe, Steven Lightcap, James Michelin, and Derek Wagner are accused of operating the meth ring and were found with 60 firearms, including two stolen handguns, 300 grams of crystal methamphetamine, $27,435 in cash, three vehicles, and other paraphernalia, the AG's office said.

State and local law enforcement seized 11 guns, and $150,000 in proceeds from a drug trafficking organization that expanded across Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, authorities said.
In October 2020, agents from the Pennsylvania State Police, Delaware County Drug Task Force, and Folcroft Police Department began investigating "ringleader" Luis Llamas for illegally distributing methamphetamine, according to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
Agents later discovered that Llamas also sold heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine.

Authorities on Monday announced three Pittsburgh residents were charged with stealing more than $800,000 in Pandemic Unemployment Assistance funds.
Linda Slade, 51, Dr. Rochelle Oaks, 66, and Keith Brown, 53, were each charged with operating a scheme to apply for PUA funding on behalf of at least 90 people, according to PA Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
Slade and Oaks submitted applications for interested participants, while Brown collected fees from the individuals to pay Oaks, Shapiro said.
