Marshals Arrest Philadelphia Man Who Escaped From Police Custody: Officials
A man who escaped the back of a Philadelphia police car on Monday, May 13 has been arrested, US Marshals said in a release. Nafiysh Knox-Schenck was taken into custody on the 600 block of West Girard Avenue around noon on Wednesday, May 15, authorities said. Knox-Schenck was arrested on a warrant for firearms charges on Monday and a gun was recovered during his arrest, city police have said. Detectives are investigating the disappearance of a Bucks County mom and her daughter, whose car was found abandoned in Philadelphia Saturday morning, according to authorities. Bridget Hennigan and her daughter Danielle Hennigan were reported missing on Friday, April 14 by husband and dad Daniel Hennigan, Bensalem police said in a release. Kevin Neary Dies 12 Years After Violent Philadelphia Robbery
Kevin Neary, a well-known Philadelphian whose recovery from a life-altering attack inspired his community, died Monday, Feb. 20, his loved ones announced on his website. Kevin was a young man in his 20s when he was shot in an armed robbery in the Northern Liberties in November 2011, according to his online bio. The bullet punctured his spinal cord at the C5 level and percussed up to affect the C1 level, leaving Kevin "largely paralyzed" from the neck down. Delivery Truck Crashes Into Outdoor Dining In Philadelphia
A delivery truck crashed into a cafe's outdoor dining in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties neighborhood, according to dispatch. The crash happened at 4th and Reno streets at Cafe La Maude around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, says dispatch. Two people were transported to a local hospital. Crews remained on the scene to investigate.
