Body Pulled From Delaware River ID'd: Philadelphia Police (Update) A man who was found dead in the Delaware River on Thursday, July 26 has been identified, Philadelphia police announced in an updated release the following morning.  Darnell Dogan, 42, of the 4600 block of Ditman Street, was found near North Delaware and Linden avenues in Torresdale around 3:30 p.m., authorities wrote. He was pulled from the river by a PPD marine unit and pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday. 'Decomposing' Body Pulled From Delaware River, Police Say Philadelphia police are investigating after a man's body was recovered from the Delaware River late on Sunday, July 23, the department told Daily Voice.  It happened just before 8 p.m. near the corner of North Delaware Avenue and Orthodox Street in Bridesburg, authorities said.  The remains were found in the water by a passing ship and reported to the US Coast Guard, police said.
