Empty Vehicle Plows Into Fulton Township House, Fire Officials Say An empty vehicle slammed into a home and parked inside on Tuesday morning, fire officials in Fulton Township announced on July 9.  The unoccupied Jeep Liberty Sport went way off-road, crashing into a home in the 400 block of Peach Bottom Road in Peach Bottom, Fulton Township, the Robert Fulton Fire Company explained in a release.  The company was called to the scene at 3:54 a.m. on July 9, according to the release.  "Due to the severity of the crash and the inability to enter the structure," the company had dispatch upgrade the crash to "entrapment" but "once acces…

Police ID Pedestrian Killed In Berks Hit-Run The pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run in Berks County Sunday night has been identified, authorities announced.  James Falasca-Carter Jr., 33, of Boyertown, was walking along Powder Mill Hollow Road in Earl Township at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23 when a southbound car struck him, state police said in a press release.  A passing driver reported spotting his body early in the morning on Monday, Oct. 24, officials had previously said.  The striking vehicle was located last night and is in police custody awaiting processing.
