The 12-year-old boy who was shot dead by undercover Philadelphia police officers after firing at their vehicle has been identified. Thomas Siderio shot at a an unmarked police vehicle occupied by plainclothes officers conducting an ongoing surveillance operation on 18th street, city police said. An alert for Siderio was issued by police when he went missing in 2020. Gunman Killed After Firing At Philadelphia Officer Serving Warrant: Authorities
A 44-year-old man who shot at a Philadelphia police officer serving a warrant was killed when the officer returned fire, authorities said. Officer Scratchard went to a home on the 1900 block of South Bancroft Street to serve a warrant on aggravated assault and firearms violations Tuesday around 6:25 p.m., Philadelphia police said. Pennsylvania State Trooper Charged With Harassment
A Pennsylvania state trooper has been charged with harassment. Pennsylvania State Trooper Nickolas Robert Elliott, 30, of Butler County, was cited on Thursday. He has been charged with a summary offense for harassment/physical contact, according to court documents. The charge is based on an allegation of unwarranted use of force. The charge was filed following an investigation by the Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards, Internal Affairs Division.
