Nurse Killed By Husband In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Pennsylvania Home
A woman was shot and killed by her husband before he took his own life in an apparent murder-suicide in Manor, according to the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office, WPXI Channel 11 News reports.
Police responded to a shooting at a home in Manor Township around 6:22 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, according to the outlet. Arriving officers discovered Terri Day, 51, dead from a gunshot wound, authorities said. Her husband, Jeffrey Day, was also found at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Manor Borough Police Chief Randy Clarson told WPXI.

Geoffrey Blaine, 40, of West Chester, lost his life after his work truck veered off the roadway on the 400 block of Township Line Road at 12:25 p.m., Plymouth Township police said in a release. The vehicle struck a telephone pole, a split-rail fence, and a tree before coming to rest. Blaine was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jorge Pickett, 34, died after striking another vehicle at West Saucon Valley Circle and Center Valley Parkway on Friday, Oct. 4, according to authorities. He died at St. Luke's University Hospital soon after the crash.
