Pair Of Deadly Hit-Runs Under Investigation In Philly Police in Philadelphia are investigating after two people were killed in hit-and-run car crashes just a few hours apart on Sunday, Jan. 22.  The first crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. in South Philadelphia, 6abc reports. A 44-year-old woman was crossing the 600 block of Oregon Avenue when she was hit by a silver SUV, the outlet said.  The driver fled east on Oregon Avenue, and the victim was pronounced dead by first responders sometime later, the report says.  The second accident occurred at about 8:40 p.m., police said in a statement. Queens Man Dead, 13 Injured In I-295 Crash A Queens, NY man died and 13 other people were injured in a crash involving a passenger van on Interstate 295 in Mercer County Wednesday, New Jersey State Police said. A Ford Econoline van was traveling north in near mile post 59 in Hamilton Township, when it went off the road to the right, struck the guardrail, reentered the roadway and overturned around 3:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Alfonso Vasquez-Lopez of West Grove, was behind the wheel of the Ford Econoline work van that was pulling out of a 1636 Baltimore Pike in New Garden Township when the eastbound motorcyclists struck the side of the vehicle around 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Southern Chester County Regional police said.
