'Life-Threatening' Allergy Prompts Recall Of Wegmans Hummus In 8 States
A popular hummus sold at Wegmans in eight states and the District of Columbia has been recalled by the company, the FDA announced on Feb. 3. A producer for Wegmans, Summer Fresh Salads Inc. of Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada has recalled Wegmans Harissa Hummus Topped With Harissa, according to the FDA. The recall was prompted due to undeclared sesame in the produce. The company explained that people with sesame allergies "run the risk of [a] serious or life-threatening allergic reaction[s] if they consume [this] product." Recall Issued For Organic Popcorn Sold At Regional Supermarkets
A company has recalled packages of popcorn that were sold at supermarkets across the region. Snak King announced on Tuesday, April 12, that it is recalling some of its five-ounce packages of "O Organics Sea Salt Organic Popcorn" because the products may be cross-contaminated with an undeclared milk allergen. The recalled products have "Best if Used By" dates of 9/24/2022 and 9/25/2022. Hershey's Recalls Popular Product After Bottles Were Accidentally Filled with Nuts
Hershey’s is recalling one of its popular products after discovering that hundreds of bottles were incorrectly filled with a different, nut-based ingredient, the FDA announced. The voluntary recall of Chocolate Shell Topping was just announced by the Hershey Company, which reported that 1,700 7.25-ounce bottles were mistakenly filled with Heath Shell Topping which is made with almonds, not Chocolate Shell Topping.
