Gas Leak Prompts Evacuation In Elizabethtown: Police (Developing) A gas leak has led to an evacuation and traffic being diverted, Lancaster County authorities explained on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6.  The gas leak happened at the intersection of East Bainbridge and South Spruce in Elizabethtown at 2:25 p.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.  "Residents should avoid the area," Elizabethtown police said in a release at 3:09 p.m.  A two-block perimeter has been evacuated as a precaution, LCWC explained. Fatal Fire: Woman Killed, Police Officer Treated After Historic Summy House Goes Up In Smoke A woman has died following a fire at the historic building known as The Summy House.  The fire broke out at the Summy House, 33 South Main Street, Manheim Borough at 5:07 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, according to borough police.  The fire was in a second-floor room in the historic building that is home to 20 apartments and 22 residents, the police explained in a release that afternoon. College Student MedEvac'd After Struck By Car In Central PA: Police An 18-year-old girl has been hospitalized after being struck in a crosswalk in Gettysburg, police announced on Friday.  The Gettysburg College Student was crossing Washington Street at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue around 11 a.m. on Aug. 25.  A 78-year-old Gettysburg resident driving a 2008 Toyota van was traveling west on Lincoln Ave and attempted to turn south onto North Washington St. "The van struck the pedestrian who was reported to be in the crosswalk," the police said.  Another driver was stopped at the intersection and later told police that they waived the girl…
