Dog Found Abandoned And Sick In Berks Has Died, Rescuers Say
A dog who was found abandoned and dying on the side of a Berks County road last weekend has died after days of lifesaving efforts by her rescuers, an animal welfare group says. The dog was found by Berks residents sometime on Sunday, May 7 and quickly turned over to Zoe's House Rescue in Reading to help nurse her back to health, the organization said in a Facebook post. The dog, named Sadie by the team at Zoe's, was in "rough shape" when at the time of her rescue, the team wrote. Woman Eaten To Death By Roommate's 3 Dogs, Pennsylvania State Police Say
A woman in Perry County died from a dog attack, according to Pennsylvania State police. A passer-by found a woman lying on a front yard while three dogs ran around. Police were called 29 Henry Road in Miller Township on July 28. “When emergency medical personnel and state troopers arrived on scene, it was apparent that the woman was deceased," state police said. "The three dogs, all pit bull terriers, were subsequently captured and secured with the assistance of the Perry County Animal Response Team."
