Roadwork Ahead: Police Announce Detours In Doylestown
Detours are in effect on Monday and Tuesday, April 15 and 16, according to Doylestown police. Almshouse Road closed from Upper State Road to Lower State Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days for road work, borough police said. Drivers should use Upper State Road, Bristol Road, and Lower State Road instead. Local access will be maintained, but backups and delays will occur, officials said. Evacuation Orders Issued After Propane Truck Overturns In Bucks County
Doylestown residents within 2,000 feet of an overturned propane truck were urged to evacuate their homes Monday morning, Oct. 16. The truck crashed along Ferry Road near Old Iron Hill Road sometime before 9:45 a.m., according to police. About an hour later, authorities said the crash had "created a hazardous situation in the area" and everybody within 2,000 was ordered to clear the zone. On The 'Lamb'? Owners Of Stray Goats Sought In Bucks County
Authorities in Doylestown are looking for the owners of a pair of goats who turned up in a resident's backyard over the weekend. The kids, one of whom is mostly white and the other with some black markings, were "captured" by a homeowner after wandering onto the property on Sunday, July 2, said township police. Anyone who can help bring the goats home is asked to call Doylestown police at 215-348-4200.
