Fingerprints On Noodle Cup Led To Bethlehem Robber's Arrest: Police
A Bethlehem man is charged with multiple robberies after police identified him using fingerprints on a cup of instant noodles, authorities said in a release. A convenience store on the 1100 block of East 4th Street was robbed just before noon on Dec. 29, police said. The suspect "violently ripped" the cash box from the store's register and fled on foot with about $500 and some food items, according to BPD. Wawa Days Away From Opening Pocono Store: Report
Wawa is nearing the opening of a Monroe County store, WFMZ reports. The popular convenience store and gas station chain is set to open Thursday, Nov. 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and T-shirt giveaway to the first 100 customers beginning at 8 a.m., the outlet says. Allentown Armed Gas Station Convenience Store Robber Gets 14 Years-Plus In Fed Pen
A federal judge in Philadelphia sentenced a New Jersey man to a plea-bargained 14 years and nine months in prison for robbing a gas station convenience store in Allentown with a sawed-off rifle. Brandon Garcia, 22, of Jersey City, poked one Speedway station employee with the gun as he ordered him to “get down!” while demanding cash and Newports during one of the robberies on March 28, 2017, Acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams said.
