Fire At Popular Bucks County Restaurant Destroys 10 Businesses: 'Devastating'
A fire at a popular Bucks County restaurant and bar damaged approximately nine other businesses in the strip mall. Flames erupted at Andalusia Bar and Grill at 971 Bristol Pike in Grandview Plaza around 4 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, Bensalem Township Fire Battalion Chief Robert Sponheimer said. Responders were met by heavy flames in the back of the building, bringing approximately 70 firefighters to the scene, Sponheimer said. Bucks County Fire Company Mourns Longtime Member
James Curran, a retired life member of the Eddington Fire Company of Bensalem, died last Thursday, March 14, according to his obituary. He was 83. His Eddington colleagues said Curran served more than 40 years with the company and had been battalion chief, company secretary, and fire police captain. He was also part of the all-volunteer Philadelphia Second Alarmers. Other area departments offered condolences on social media. 'Person Of Interest' In Bensalem Shooting Found Dead By Suicide: Police
A person of interest in the fatal Bensalem Halloween shooting was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Ohio on Thursday, Nov. 2, say authorities. Fourteen-year-old Peter Romano and two others were struck by gunfire near Woodbine Avenue and Bristol Pike on Oct. 31, Daily Voice reported. A 14-year-old was killed was two other people hurt when gunfire rang out on a Bensalem street Tuesday night, Oct. 31, according to officials.
