With help from Norristown police, a man wanted in a machete attack was taken into custody Wednesday morning, Sept. 11 without incident, authorities said. Edward Gomery, 56, is suspected in "an aggravated assault involving a machete" on another man he knew on Aug. 27, Upper Merion police said on Monday, Sept. 9. A high-ranking employee at a Pennsylvania furniture business is accused of embezzling more than $1 million from the company, authorities say. A 20-year-old Pennsylvania man is facing charges for using Instagram to sell THC edibles to children as young as 11 years old, authorities said. Chester County native Jonathan Thomas "JT" Sweeney died on Oct. 25 at the age of 27.
