FBI agents armed with warrants descended on the lower Manhattan headquarters of an NYPD union and at the Long Island home of its controversial president. Federal authorities weren't disclosing why the Sergeants Benevolent Association and Ed Mullins were targeted. A 27-year-old Penn State alumnus was recently arrested for his role in the Capitol Riot, he may have used a LEGO set to make his plans, according to newly released documents by the Department of Justice. Lancaster County Schools Named After Slave-Owners To Be Renamed In Honor Black-Female Teachers
Two schools in the School District of Lancaster will be renamed to honor Black-female community leaders. The school board voted on the new names at a board meeting on Thursday night. Edward Hand Middle School, which was temporarily called Southeast Middle School since mid-2020, will be renamed- Hazel I. Jackson Middle School. UPDATE: A Middlesex County man admitted Tuesday that he stuffed a rag into the gas tank of a police cruiser and set it on fire during a riot in Trenton following what had been a peaceful protest last year over the death of George Floyd.
