A 65-year-old woman has been identified by the Lehigh County Coroner following a New Year's Day house fire in Harrisburg. Brenda L. Cuff of Harrisburg was pronounced dead in the Lehigh Valley Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest at 4:35 a.m. on Tuesday, January 02, 2024, coroner Daniel Buglio detailed in the release. Her cause of death was listed as "complications of 50-60% full thickness burns due to house fire." The manner was ruled accidental. A woman was found on the street after being hit in the head, raped, and robbed by a teenager, on Monday, January 16, authorities say. Chay'nce Quadier King-Henderson's suspected killer has been apprehended and charged with first degree murder, according to Harrisburg police. Kaewon Kashif Layton, 15, of Harrisburg was arrested on Thursday for his involvement in the shooting death of the 16-year-old. King-Henderson was shot dead in the 2200 block of Berryhill Street on Thursday, April 1, around 1 a.m., as Daily Voice reported at the time.
