A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a sedan on Friday evening, Sept. 13 in Philadelphia, police said. The motorcycle was heading west on Adams Avenue when it collided with a silver Ford Crown Victoria, which was turning northbound onto Howland Street from the eastbound lane of Adams Avenue around 7:45 p.m., a spokesperson for the city police department said. Three people were arrested when police broke up a car meet in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night. Authorities said they arrived at the 500 block of Adams Avenue to find some 200 people and around 100 vehicles. An officer activated his lights and sirens after bystanders "encircled" his car, PPD said. One teen allegedly stood in front of the police car, leaned on the hood, and "signaled with his finger that the officers would not be allowed to pass," according to officials. A portion of I-95 in Philadelphia will be closed for repairs to the Conrail bridge, after it was struck by a truck Monday afternoon, April 1. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the northbound side of the highway was be closed and detoured approaching the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange beginning at 10 p.m. April 1. Driver Shot In Northeast Philadelphia, Say Police
Authorities are investigating after a 21-year-old man was shot on a Northeast Philadelphia street late Monday, March 25, police told Daily Voice. It happened on the 4600 block of Adams Avenue in Frankford around 11;30 p.m., PPD said. The victim was shot once in the lower back and taken to Temple Hospital in critical condition, according to authorities. No weapon was recovered and no arrests made as of Tuesday morning, March 26, police added.
