Crews Respond To Dryer Fire At Phoenixville Laundromat

Firefighters were called to a small blaze at the Happy Wash Day laundromat on Bridge Street Friday morning, May 17.

Officials said clothes in a dryer caught fire around 11 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the building and smoldering laundry in one machine, Phoenixville Fire Department said.

They removed the clothes, doused them with water, and cleared the scene in about 20 minutes, authorities said.
